Driver Terms and Conditions

1. DRIVER ELIGIBILITY

To operate as a Nithra Ride Driver, you must:

• Be 18 years or older
• Hold a valid Driving License (LMV-TR / HMV)
• Provide valid Aadhaar and identity documents
• Have an active smartphone with GPS
• No criminal cases or driving violations
• Maintain proper physical and mental fitness

Nithra Ride may approve, reject, or suspend Driver profiles at its discretion.

2. REGISTRATION & DOCUMENT VERIFICATION

You must upload:

• Full Name
• Profile Photo
• Mobile & WhatsApp Number
• Driving Experience
• Location
• Driving License
• Aadhaar

Verification

• License status verification
• License vehicle class validation
• Aadhaar authenticity
• Name & DOB matching

3. DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow traffic rules
• Drive responsibly
• Maintain polite behaviour
• Maintain hygiene and clean appearance
• No alcohol or drugs during duty
• Protect customer privacy

4. USING THE DRIVER APP

Online / Offline

• Set Active to receive bookings
• Set Inactive when unavailable

Accepting Trips

• Reach pickup location on time
• Start trip only after OTP verification

5. DRIVER REFUSAL POLICY

• First refusal → Assigned to another driver
• Second refusal → Admin allocation
• Frequent refusal → Suspension or removal

6. WAITING & EXTRA CHARGES

• Extra Hours → ₹100 per hour
• Night Allowance → ₹200 (11PM – 6AM)
• Outstation Allowance → ₹300/day

7. OUTSTATION RIDES

• Minimum 50 bookings required
• Drivers must follow customer route plan
• Driver may take rest breaks if needed

8. PAYMENT TERMS

• Online Payment
• Cash
• QR Payment

Fraud or overcharging may lead to suspension.

9. CANCELLATION POLICY

• Emergency situations
• Health issues
• Vehicle breakdown
• Customer unreachable

10. DRIVER RATINGS

• Behaviour
• Punctuality
• Safety
• Customer satisfaction

11. LIABILITY

Nithra Ride is not responsible for driver negligence, accidents, or damages caused by the driver.

12. TERMINATION

• Fake documents
• Fraud or cheating
• Customer harassment
• Repeated low ratings

13. DATA PRIVACY

Driver must protect customer data and follow Nithra Ride privacy policy.

14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Disputes will be handled under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.

Courts of Tamil Nadu shall have jurisdiction.
